Come and stay at our luxury holiday let in Lincolnshire

Enjoy the beautiful Lincolnshire countryside and get a true taste of rural life

Lincolnshire is a breathtaking rural area located on England’s east coast. From The Wolds down to The Fens, it is rich in history and natural beauty which makes Udder Barn the perfect holiday let for those looking to enjoy a quiet holiday in the Lincolnshire countryside.

Udder Barn is a recent conversion, being converted from a milking barn to a two-bedroom, self-catering holiday let. If you’re looking for a luxury holiday cottage in Lincolnshire, Udder Barn would be ideal for you.

There’s no argument that The Fens are flat, but the open countryside and huge open skies are stunningly beautiful. Sunrise and Sunsets can be altogether spectacular.

The rural setting provides for ample countryside scenery with vast open spaces and abundant wildlife — badgers, foxes, monk jack, fallow dear and birds all enjoy the untouched countryside. There is also fabulous lighting, ideal for those that enjoy painting.

If you’re looking to really relax and unwind, The Grange Spa is just 10 minutes to drive or even cycle from Udder Barn and, thankfully, there are no hills!

Lincolnshire is steeped in history and The Fens are no different. The immediate area surrounding Udder Barn has a range of historical sites from as far back as the 11th-century medieval times. Churches, castles and other buildings from that era lie in wait to be explored. Lincoln Cathedral (45 minute drive) commenced building in 1088 — reputedly once the tallest building in the world, set in a beautiful medieval area — Bail gate.

Lincoln Castle is another landmark and was constructed during the 11th century by William the Conqueror on the site of a pre-existing Roman Fortress. Celebrating the 800th year of the iconic charter that changed the course of history, the castle is showing the Magna Carta.
Picturesque market towns lie all around us; Stamford and the magnificent Burghley House which famously holds the Burghley Horse Trials every year, Grantham and Belton House, Boston with its famous stump, Spalding’s Ayscroughfee Hall and gardens and the water taxi that can take you along the River Welland to Springfields Outlet Shopping and gardens. Bourne, the birthplace of BRM founded by Raymond Mays is also close by. Sleaford is also close, with its market place and 12th century St Deny’s church and, last but not least, the surrounding influence of our magnificent RAF heritage with Cranwell, Conningsby and East Kirkby Lancaster Bomber ‘Just Jane’ at Lincolnshire Aviation Heritage Museum, East Kirkby.

The Just Jane Lancaster Bomber which is based at East Kirkby.

For the aviation enthusiasts out there, you’re able to book a taxi ride in the Just Jane Lancaster Bomber and experience being in a real-life WW2 bomber!

There’s plenty to do around here, but you’ll always be able to come back to Udder Barn to relax, unwind and recover, ready for another day of exploring our lovely countryside.

Our barn has recently been renovated and completed to the highest standard. It contains two bedrooms with plenty of natural light. A wet room, kitchen/dining area and a mezzanine sitting room also adds to the luxury. Possibly the best feature of the barn however is the breathtaking view of the Lincolnshire countryside. You can view miles and miles of farm land as far as your eyes can reach from the comfort of your room.
